Angelina Jolie sued for standing up charitable date
ANGELINA Jolie has angered a charitable gentleman, standing him up after he donated $30,000 to a children's charity for the chance to meet her.
The man has filed a lawsuit against the Lili Claire Foundation, a children's charity, claiming that he paid a winning bid of $30,000 to meet Angelina Jolie - but the event never happened.
TMZ reports that two years have passed and the man has neither met the movie star, nor has the payment been returned. The main is suing for the return of his money, in addition to damages.
The news of Jolie reportedly standing up the man comes as The Sun reports Jolie dropped 21 pounds in just 21 days.
A source said: “She does all her own stunts but we worry she could injure herself due to the weight loss.”
The diet, which, encourages practitioners to stick only to lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup, is reportedly leaving the actress exhausted.
While The Sun claims she's lost 21 pounds, another source says it's only around 8 pounds. The source tells Britain’s Grazia magazine that Jolie started her detox three days before last month’s Oscars and is already battling weakness and fatigue.
Strained Angelina Jolie living apart from Brad Pitt and family
ANGELINA Jolie's health is causing concern for the producers of her latest film, amidst reports that she is sleeping apart from Brad Pitt and their family.
According to Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper, Jolie, 33, is exhausted and barely seeing Brad and her children - who have moved from LA to New York, where she is filming, to be closer to her.
A source says, "Brad and the kids have barely visited the set and Angelina seems very insular.
"She's staying on her own, working 15-hour days and the stress is taking its toll. We're all very concerned.
"She's on a liquid detox diet to lose 21lb in 20 days. She is doing all the stunts herself and barely has time to eat.
"She is looking so small on camera, the producers have had to have a discreet word."

Did Angelina Jolie slap Pitt?
According to a US magazine, Pitt was caught red-handed by Angelina massaging the back of their "pretty young nanny" in their twins' bedroom.
While Pitt tried to calm the situation, the infuriated actress slapped him across his face. “Angie snapped and slapped him across the face. Brad was stunned," the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.
She even flipped and tried to throw the nanny out.

Angelina Jolie's extreme diet claims
The Changeling star reportedly wants to shed 21ibs in 21 days via the use of Martha's Vineyard Detox Diet, so she can appear lean and muscular as Evelyn Salt in her upcoming movie.
For once we see a not-so-glamorous Angelina take on a multitude of disguises - one which includes a man - to play a CIA agent who is on a mission to clear her name.
A source tells Grazia magazine, "To play a man convincingly Angelina is adamant she needs to lose her curves.
"She has been trying to go for the full 21 days but it's tough. She's lost around eight pounds but is now introducing a couple of small meals in between shakes as she was starting to feel weak."
But it seems that Angelina's extreme diet could be having a knock on effect in the Brangelina household.
The source adds, "Brad told her that if she was staying on the diet, he was getting out of the way. Then she started screaming at him about a chore.
"He felt that whatever he did or said would be wrong, so he went to Los Angeles to let off steam with some buddies. He thinks the diet is dangerous and unnecessary."
Oscars 2009
Aniston was there to co-present the best animation award with Jack Black and as the pair bantered on stage the television cameras panned to Jolie, perhaps hoping to see her glaring at the woman who recently described her as "really uncool". But Jolie laughed away at Aniston's jokes.
Jolie is a past master at not betraying her emotions on awards night - she also smiled gamely at the Golden Globes when Kate Winslet forgot her name and referred to her as "the other one".
The Tomb Raider actress was seated with her partner and Aniston's ex-husband, Brad Pitt. Friends actress Aniston attended the ceremony with her boyfriend, musician John Mayer.
The couples were seated only a few rows apart but didn't speak during the show. They also managed to avoid one another on the red carpet.
Aniston split up with Pitt in 2004 and maintained a dignified silence on the break-up until November last year, when she gave an interview to Vogue magazine in which she criticised Jolie for discussing how she fell in love with Pitt while they filmed Mr and Mrs Smith that same year.
"There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening. I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool," she said.
The Oscars proved to be another night of awards disappointment for Jolie and Pitt. They were each nominated for acting prizes - she for Changeling and he for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - but lost out, just as they did at the Golden Globes, Baftas and every other awards show this season.

Latest News
Actress Angelina Jolie is facing strong criticism over her adoption of Ethiopian orphan Zahara Marley after it emerged the baby has a grandmother desperate to raise the money to keep her.
Almaz Blfnhe, 45, toiled to care for the baby for four months after her daughter Mentewabe died from complications in childbirth, but eventually accepted she was too poor to look after her.
Children's charities are critical of the Mr. & Mrs. Smith star and argue she would have done more good donating some of her $54 million fortune to the heartbroken family.
Matthew Collinson, of the League for African Development says, "A more sensitive solution would have been for her to help the grandmother in the same way that people sponsor children abroad. Alternatively she could have adopted a child that truly had no one else on the planet to care for it."
Blfnhe says, "No woman wants to give away her own flesh and blood, but the adoption office said they could give her a better life."
She appeals to Angelina, "Send me a picture one day so I can remember my granddaughter and her beautiful big brown eyes, just like my daughter's eyes."
Angelina jolie-facts
While most Hollywood stars do everything they can to appear cool, professional and squeaky-clean, diligently concealing all their nasty little secrets, Angelina Jolie appears wholly unconcerned by controversy. Ever-keen to talk about her breakdowns, her disorders, her fantasies and her world-famous penchant for S&M, many would say she's built a career on titillating public confession. But she's also an increasingly fine and award-winning performer, her Oscar for Girl, Interrupted being only the first in a string of prestigious honours. Onscreen, as in bed, she is a risk-taker, and perhaps deserves to be seen as the spiritual sister of such greats as Streep, Pfeiffer and Lange. Beyond this, her international efforts on behalf of children and refugees have made her the most public-minded superstar since Audrey Hepburn.
She was born Angelina Jolie Voight in Los Angeles, on June 4th, 1975 - her name meaning Pretty Little Angel. Her father, Jon, was already an established superstar, having topped the bill in such classics as Midnight Cowboy and Deliverance. When Angelina was 2, he'd scoop the Best Actor Oscar for Coming Home. By then though, he'd already split from her mother, the part-Iroquois actress and model Marcheline Bertrand (now Angelina'smanager), who'd moved with Angelina and her brother James to the East Coast - to the Palisades, New York, to be more precise.
Living here, Jolie was a happy child. She collected snakes and lizards - her favourite lizard being named Vladimir, and her favourite snake Harry Dean Stanton - and, oddly, like many females of her age, she had a major crush on Mr Spock. She would wear glittery clothing, including sparkly underwear, and flounce around, already performing, keen to make people laugh, to make them like her. She was a member of the Kissy Girls, who hunted boys down and kiss them till they screamed - until the school was forced to call the parents and the gang broke up. Marcheline would take the kids to the movies often, and Jolie claims this is where she got the notion to be an actress - not from her uncle, Chip Taylor (an actor and composer), not from her godmother Jacqueline Bisset, and definitely NOT from her father, though at age 7 she did appear in Lookin' To Get Out, a movie about inveterate gamblers, co-written by and starring Jon Voight.
Angelina Jolie's Twins - First Pictures
"It is chaos," laughs Angelina Jolie on life at the sprawling Chateau Miraval in Provence, "but we are managing it and having a wonderful time."
Good dad Brad Pitt, meanwhile, confides: "Viv is proving to resemble Ange in spirit, attitude and physicality… And Knox, he's a bit of me."
The new issue of People (on newsstands Monday) will give an exclusive 19-page view of the Jolie-Pitt family of eight including the twins' four older siblings, Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2.
"Shiloh and Zahara pick out the twins' clothes and help change and hold them," says Angelina Jolie. "It's sweet – they are little mommies."
Adds Brad Pitt: "It's still a cuckoo's nest."
As reported earlier this week, People magazine picked up the rights to publish these exclusive photos in the United States for $14 million.
Debbie Reynolds believes Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston can be friends one day
Their situation reminds her of her own life where her first husband Eddie Fisher left her for her good friend Elizabeth Taylor in 1959. But both of them become friends again later on.
She told Contactmusic, "(The split with Fisher) reminds me of what happened with Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Except we were a generation earlier. “We (she and Taylor) are friends again. I mean, what can you do? When the man wants to leave he wants to leave."
